Personality: Pilgrim is secretive to the point
of paranoia, due to a life spent wandering through a world filled
with hidden agents of his enemies. The only place he is truly safe
is the Hidden City, but his devotion to his mission means that he
rarely stays there long. He is dedicated to this mission almost
to the point of obsession. What has driven him to this has yet to
be revealed.
Personal Interests: Pilgrim is devoted to
his mission – finding other mutants like himself who’s
powers stem from ‘sleeper DNA’. Pilgrim believes that
it is their duty to continue the appointed task of their ancestors
and stamp out the evil of Apocalypse. He is an avid student of all
aspects of the lost culture of the Knights of Adrastraea.
History: Nothing
is known of the man who calls himself Pilgrim before his meeting
with Spitfire. It appears that he was contacted by the Elder –
last surviving member of the Knights of Adrastraea – who told
him about his origins and instructed him in the use of his powers.
Since then Pilgrim has become the Elder’s most trusted agent.
The Elder relies on Pilgrim to be his eyes and ears in the outside
world, as he now rarely leaves the safety of the hidden city. Pilgrim
travels the world using his teleportation powers, searching for
others like himself. How successful this mission has been still
remains to be seen.
Pilgrim has assisted Spitfire on several occasions, including rescuing
hostages from an army of escaped convicts from the Stanton Correctional
Facility for Superhuman Criminals. However, during the recent demonic
invasion of Earth, Pilgrim followed the Elder’s instructions
and remained out of the fight, staying in the sanctuary of the Hidden
City. While Pilgrim followed this order unwillingly, it remains
to be seen what effect his decision will have on his relationship
with Spitfire.
